KORE Power, a growing player in the rapidly expanding energy storage industry, has added a powerful new executive to its ranks. Scott Osborne has more than 18 years of global sales leadership. His most recent experience was Sales VP for Greensmith Energy Management Systems, a Wartsila company. He has led energy storage projects in the UK, Germany, Portugal, Canada, and the United States.
“We know that in order to build KORE Power in the energy storage marketplace, we need to continuously evaluate and deliver new products to consumers,” said Peter Riggs, Chief Strategy Officer for KORE Power. “As the energy storage industry moves from its infancy into the mainstream, we need to build the right team to develop and launch the products that will help shape the landscape of energy independence in North America. Scott Osborne is the right man to help us with these unique challenges.”
In addition to products such as a 55Ah NMC cell used primarily in electric vehicles and various lithium salts used in making electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries, KORE Power is introducing their new Mark 1 Energy Storage Module designed specifically for large-scale energy storage needs. Scott believes that, “KORE Power solves an energy storage industry need by bringing new technology and a plan for American made products to the market. I’m delighted and proud to be an early member of the team.” Scott’s background and expertise in the sale of energy storage products makes him the ideal person to lead KORE Power’s efforts to introduce the Mark 1 and other products to market in the US and abroad.
“KORE Power will continue to develop the strongest team possible,” said Lindsay Gorrill, Chief Executive Officer of KORE Power. “A team focused around the idea that a battery manufacturer can not only thrive in North America but help add to a resurgence in American manufacturing and play a key role in the future of how we support our energy needs. We couldn’t be more excited to have Scott on our team.”
