KORE Power would like to welcome Andy Oranen to our team! Andy is joining us as our Global Talent Acquisition and Human Resource Manager!

We interviewed Andy to see why he decided to join KORE Power, take a look at our conversation below!

What did you do before working at KORE Power?
I have been working in HR and Talent Acquisition for the past 12 years. I started as a technology recruiter for a recruiting agency and eventually moved to corporate recruiting in 2011. I worked for a large technology company that supported utilities around the world for many years. Most recently, I lead recruiting for the 2nd largest school district in Washington State.  

Why did you decide to move to KORE Power?
I’ve always worked for companies where I had a passion for their values and mission. When I first heard about KORE and the services and products they were offering, I began to look more into the energy industry. One thing people don’t know about renewable energy is the amount of energy waste that happens when the power is not used. There is very little on the market to store that energy. Not to mention offsetting expensive peak grid power and stabilizing power where the grid is not consistent. Needless to say, I wanted to be on the ground floor of this emerging technology and go back to my true love, which is building dynamic global teams.

What about KORE Power makes you most excited?
I think that boils down to one word: Opportunity. I believe there is so much opportunity for this technology not only for large industrial structures but 3rd world countries that struggle to get consistent power. We truly have the chance to change the world of power and energy, and it’s so exciting to be at the forefront of those changes. Also, the team is so dynamic. We have hired the best of the best to be a part of this growing company, so every meeting and strategy session has this energy that I have never felt in my career. KORE Power is an amazing company with so much potential.

What would you tell others who are wondering about the future at KORE Power?
I think KORE is about to experience a tremendous amount of growth. Our industry has not seen a product like the Mark 1 before, and the interest from customers is telling of exponential growth in the next year. We should be shipping products in the next few months, and at that point, the flood gates will open to 10-20 roles quickly. After that, we expect to hire up to 60 new employees within the next year. Now would be the time to come aboard KORE Power’s bench of talent!
