(NRI) has selected KORE’s battery systems for a project at Vermont Electric Power Company’s (VELCO) headquarters in Rutland, Vermont. The Pinnacle Ridge Solar and Storage Project will include 1.2 MWh of battery capacity to store power from a 500-kW solar installation. VELCO can then draw this energy instead of grid power during times of high-priced, peak system demand to reduce electric costs and increase electric grid stability.
