Starting in 1991, Sony pulled the trigger of the secondary battery industry by commercializing secondary Lithium-ion batteries for portable electronics, batteries have been gradually developed and widely used in many applications such as electronics, ESS, and most popularly today, EVs.

In 2001, Jeff Dahn and Zhonghua Lu filed the patent for NMC.

Lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) cathodes, developed and adopted for a wide range of applications such as e-mobility and energy storage system (ESS)

Nobel Prize

In 2019 John B. Goodenough received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for this proposal of the concept of Lithium-Ion based secondary battery.

In 2019, KORE Power announced itself to the world of clean energy.

KORE Power Narrowed the Search for U.S. Facility

In late 2020, KORE Power narrowed the search for our facility to three key state locations: Arizona, Florida, and Texas.

UL 9540A Successfully Complete

KORE Power successfully completed UL 9540A. This marked the completion of the key safety certifications and testing required to deploy our energy storage solution.

In 2021, KORE Power will be announcing the location of our 12 GWh U.S Manufacturing Facility, as well as other product developments that are underway.
